Academy and First Team player Peter Maguire has joined Ballinamallard United on loan until January 2023.

The defender, from Blacklion joins The Mallard’s ahead of the start of their 2022/23 season.

The journey from Sligo to Ballinamallard has proved a well travelled one with many players playing for both clubs throughout the years.

Jason McCartney and Steve Feeney are probably the more famous examples, with both players spending many seasons with the side from County Fermanagh.

Rovers’ Head of Academy Conor O’ Grady, Christopher Kelly, Ross Taheny, Gary Armstrong, Anthony Elding and Richard Brush are all other examples of players who have played for both clubs.
