The 2018 Sligo Rovers Halloween Camp came to a close on Friday last, to complete what has been a fantastic year of kids camps for everyone involved.
This year witnessed 1,400 children participating in the camps, which has yet again proved to be the biggest year for camps in the club’s history.
Children both young and old participated while travelling near and far to enjoy weeks of fun filled football in The Showgrounds.
Camp Co-Ordinator, Shane Crossan spoke of his delighted at the success of this year’s camps and said “2018 has been a magnificent year for the camps and on a personal note I would like to thank everyone who contributed to their success. Our coaches deserve huge credit for all their hard work all year round. A special mention to the children and of course their parents also for their invaluable support throughout the year. We are already looking forward to our next camp in 2019”.
The next children’s camp will take place at Easter in 2019. For now, Sligo Rovers would like to wish all of the children well in their return to school and wish them every success going forward in the classroom.
