Sligo Rovers take on Derry City in the EA Sports Cup semi-final in The Showgrounds on Monday, kick-off 5pm.
The #bitored meet Derry for the fifth time this season. Rovers won 2-1 in the Brandywell last week, while the teams have had a victory each in The Showgrounds.
In team news, Jack Keaney is a doubt because of an ankle injury. Adam Wixted and Seamus Sharkey return to the squad after injury and suspension last week.
Seven members of the club’s Under-19 team, current or past, formed part of the Rovers squad for game last week.
Gerard Lyttle said: “There’s no doubt it’s a completely different game to last Friday. Derry will be hurting from the defeat last week and the manner of it, being at home, and I’m sure it’ll drive them on.
“There’s a Cup final place at stake. We’re looking to get back to our home ground and get a big performance in front of our supporters who can get behind us. That’s what we’re looking for.
“We all want a Cup final but it doesn’t come easy. We’ve tried to recover from Friday and we had a session on Sunday where the players were in really good spirit.
“We’ve a young squad and a lot of Under-19s who boost our squad and we use them because we have to and it’s part of our outlook.
“The players did the job on Friday – they believed in themselves and they showed character in adversity at 1-0 down. We have to do it again because when you play a Cup semi-final it’s difficult and especially against a strong team like Derry. Everyone can play their part, supporters in the stand and all in the squad, so we’re looking forward to it.”
