Frank Coleman RIP

Sligo Rovers were sorry to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter Frank Coleman earlier this month.

Frank, who died on 10 November this year, was an avid Sligo Rovers fan and put thousands of miles on the road in to support the Bit o’ Red on a weekly basis.

A native of Ballisodare, he brought the love of Rovers to Mullingar where he lived for most of his life, and shared the journey with the likes of Pat Chambers as part of a faction of midlands based supporters that journeyed to Sligo for the Saturday night under lights.

He was a regular without fail at The Showgrounds since the age of 15

Beloved husband of Sheila and loving father of Gareth, Mary, Pat, Clare, Francis, Kevin and Helen. He will be deeply missed by his wife, sons and daughters, brothers Michael and Philip, daughters-in-law Maria, Caroline and Carla, sons-in-law Jim and Ger. His adored grandchildren Ciara, Conor, Jack, Niamh, Cormac, Andrew and Aisling, Helen’s fiancé Tadhg, Francis’s girlfriend Eleanor, brother-in-law Patrick, sisters-in-law Sr. Nell and Bernadette, niece, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

His family inform us that among the things they will miss of Frank is his post match analysis following Rovers games.

We extend our sympathies to them and Frank will be in our thoughts during a minute of applause at the start of next season where we remember all fans that have passed in recent times.
