Rovers vs Bray - Preview

Sligo Rovers will be back at The Showgrounds for a St. Patrick’s weekend fixture this Saturday night.

Bray Wanderers will be the opposition in the SSE Airtricity League, kick-off 7:45pm.

To mark the occasion and pay tribute to the country’s patron saint we are giving FREE ADMISSION to anyone with the name Patrick for this game.

The relevant photo ID must be shown at the gate to avail of this offer.

So if you’re name is Patrick or one of your friends or family has the name be sure to join us at The Showgrounds this Saturday night.

The game will see Rovers look to take an opening win of the 2017 season in game number five.

Last weekend at The Showgrounds there was a 1-1 draw in a tight game with St. Patrick’s Athletic.

Kieran Sadlier scored the opener in that game, he did so again on Monday night at Turner’s cross against Cork City.

The league leaders battled back to deny the Bit o’Red with a late goal.

So this Saturday night we want to see all fans, and especially all Patricks, at the Showgrounds getting behind the Bit o’Red.

TEAM NEWS

Rovers: Micheal Schlingermann and Kyle Callan-McFadden should return. Regan Donelon still likely to miss out.

Bray Wanderers: Karl Moore will miss the game with Keith Buckley doubtful.

QUOTES

Dave Robertson: “We will have to try to attack and get at their defence to put them under pressure. The import thing is that we will have to play on the front foot and get some points on the board, that is vitally important for us as a team and for the club.”
