Rovers in Scottish Cup

 

Sligo Rovers are delighted to be competing in the 2017-18 Irn Bru Scottish Challenge Cup.

Rovers have been invited into the competition for finishing fifth in the 2016 SSE Airtricity League, along with Bray Wanderers who finished one place lower.

The SFA revamped the competition for 2016-17 to include clubs from the Welsh and Irish Leagues and now SSE Airtricity League clubs will participate.

Further details on the stage of the competition the Bit o’Red will enter and fixture dates will be confirmed later in the year.

The announcement was made at the launch of the 2017 SSE Airtricity League at The Aviva Stadium today.
